Annie is a blend of redbone coon hound and a little pit bull. Her mix of breeds resulted in a beautiful, smart, loving dog who was rescued from a high kill shelter at the last possible moment.  She came to us with ribs and hip bones showing at 34 pounds. After some good groceries, she now weighs 55 pounds. These sweet girls were born just four days after their pregnant mother was rescued from an impound. They have been raised in foster for a 501c3 rescue and are very well socialized. They enjoy other dogs and love kids. Their mother is a 45 pound shepherd mix and the father is unknown (although likely a breed with longer fur). It is estimated that they will be approximately 50 pounds full grown.They have been dewormed multiple times, had their first puppy shots, and have HomeAgain microchips. On Dec. 10, Lakeville Patch posted a story about a 9-month-old, floppy-eared, beagle-lab mix named Daisy who was looking for a home. Eagan resident Christine O’Wheeler saw the pictures, read about the pooch’s affection for kids and cats, and became instantly smitten. “I knew that I had to have Miss Daisy,” O’Wheeler wrote to Patch in an email. When she called Daisy’s foster mom, O’Wheeler learned that the dog was 90 minutes away from being euthanized.
