Thompson Endorses Santorum as Caucus Night Nears

Lakeville State Sen. Dave Thompson has endorsed Rick Santorum just a day before the Minnesota caucuses.

Republican presidential hopeful Rick Santorum announced a number of Minnesota endorsements yesterday, and among them was  State Sen. Dave Thompson (R-District 36).

“I am honored to receive the endorsement of this esteemed group of Minnesota elected officials and grassroots leaders," Santorum said in a press release. "Our campaign is gaining momentum by the moment, and it is clear that we are emerging (as) the clear conservative alternative to Mitt Romney and the one Republican challenger who can actually defeat Barack Obama. I look forward to working with this team during the Minnesota Caucus and this fall as we take back the White House.”
