Thompson said he's had office hours and other meetings with constituents previously, but the meeting at Farmington High School on Saturday morning was his first.

By the 10:30 a.m. start time for the meeting, only a handfull of people had stopped by.

Thompson, who is a freshman at the capitol after winning election last fall, said he wanted to hear what people had to say regarding the issues facing the state.

It would be interesting to know what Senator Thompson had to say regarding current legislative issues including: the state budget, MN Vikings Stadium solution, the new Castle doctrine being discussed at the capital and other issues. Where was this meeting publicized, I never knew he was having a public forum? Maybe that's why only six people were there?

Troy- Thanks for reading. I just couldn't stay for the duration of the meeting. I had other commitments to attend to. As for publicity, the Senator had notes on Patch's events page and facebook page, Thisweek newspapers, and he sent an email to those on his email list. He may have had other notes elsewhere, but that's what I'm aware of.
