Lakeville North Football Still Undefeated After Beating Edina

The Lakeville North football team remained undefeated on Friday with a 27-14 win over Edina at home.

The football team remained undefeated on Friday with a 27-14 win over Edina at home.

The Panthers and Hornets were tied 7-7 after the first half, but Lakeville outscored Edina with two touchdowns the rest of the way to pick up the win.

It was Lakeville North’s third consecutive win in 2011. The Panthers (3-0, 2-0 South Suburban Conference) topped Eastview 42-17 and Apple Valley 45-19 to open up the season.

The Panthers’ next game is against conference rival Rosemount on Friday. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. at Rosemount.
