One of the spoons was found on a countertop in Glows Brightly’s bathroom, according to the complaint. Police also found a plastic box containing trace amounts of drugs in his medicine cabinet, along with half of an orange pill and drug paraphernalia in a lockbox on the porch.

Glows Brightly told police that he owns the home and rents a room to Schmidtke. He denied that any of the drugs found by police belonged to him.

Schmidtke told police that the marijuana in the living room belonged to him and Glows Brightly, but denied knowledge of any of the other drugs or paraphernalia in the home.

Glows Brightly is scheduled to make a first appearance on the charges Dec. 12, and an omnibus hearing in Schmidtke’s case is scheduled Dec. 5, both in Dakota County District Court in Hastings.
