Toms, Steven Michael, age 35 of Prior Lake, formerly of Austin, longtime Personal Trainer at Lifetime Fitness, passed away October 30, 2012.
Preceded in death by his grandparents:, Nancy, Dorothy, and Clifford. Survived by his loving wife, Ashley; beloved son, Jameson; grandfather, Raymond Toms and also by other loving relatives and many dear friends.
Funeral service, 1pm Friday, November 2, 2012 at River Valley Church (14898 Energy Park) Apple Valley. Visitation from 5-8pm Thursday, November 1, 2012 at White Funeral Home (12804 Nicollet Ave) Burnsville and one hour prior to the service at church. Memorials preferred in lieu of flowers.

I didn't know Steve well, but what I did know was that he was an extremely caring individual who enjoyed making you laugh. He always had a smile for you and an encouraging word. I will miss seeing his smiling face at Lifetime. We were all blessed to have had him in our life. My prayers and thoughts are with his family. Give the angels a good workout, Steve!

While I never really got to know Steve personally at LifeTime, he always had a smile on his face and made me feel like I belonged at the club. I will surely miss his positivity he brought to work and LifeTime members.

I just found out today that Steve died. Steve was my trainer for 15 months from 2009-2011. He was a great guy and a motivating person , with a great sense of humor. He would always give me a thumbs up when he saw me in the gym. I will miss his wry smile and his words of encouragement. I was blessed to have known him. God speed Stevie. - Jim Mandell
