Now through April 24th, 2011, residents may order up to 10 bare root (not potted) trees in Lakeville’s Arbor Day Tree Sale. There are a limited number of trees so order forms will be processed via a first come, first serve pre-pay system and applicants will be notified by mail or e-mail confirming as to which trees are reserved for them. Residents may also want to consider purchasing an Autumn Blaze Maple tree (s) as a donation to a City Park. While the City assures that these trees come from a reputable nursery, it does not extend a warranty for replacement. To avoid long lines, purchasers will be assigned a specific pick up time on Saturday, April 30th, between the hours of 8:00 AM-11:00 AM at the Central Maintenance Facility, 7570 179th St. W., Lakeville. Those who will be unable to pick up trees on April 30th should not apply as this is the only available day for tree pick-up.
